It started when I painted a pickle on aluminum foil. A dolphin key ring followed. It is a childhood sentiment, a warm feeling inside, or the innocence of sparkles. It is a desire for beautiful distracting things and an escape from the seriousness around me. I often reflect on my childhood, my relationship with my parents and how the world works. The world through my gaze. Flirting with my subject, and anticipating what might come.
This playful exploration of materials and memories extends into my creative process today. I find comfort in working with textiles—they’re soft, tactile, and soothing. Tufting, in particular, allows me to explore "painful" or "heavy" themes while still embracing that softness, offering a unique way to confront intense emotions without losing that sense of lightness. I also paint and capture moments with my Polaroid camera, always searching for ways to express the complexities of life in a way that feels personal, yet universal.

I use glitter, bright colors and expression-less fish.
